the Euro Championship, go West to the Silicon Gorge Tournament!
The
Silicon Gorge Cup is undoubtedly the most popular 5-a-side football
competition for electronic design engineers in the world. Like all great
football there is great rivalry but at the Silicon Gorge
tournament there's also a sociable, friendly atmosphere.
Complimenting
on-pitch action will be three fun, side line competitions.
"Questa" Penalty Shoot Out
See how many penalties your team can score against
Mentor Graphics #1 goalkeeper, Dom Simmons.
You'll need to test him by aiming at every corner to win this
one!
"Veloce"
Verve
Do all your colleagues say you dribble? Here's your chance
to show how go a dribbler you are!
"Calibre" Accuracy
Accuracy is the key. Test your team's shooting
accuracy.
Winners of the Silicon Gorge Cup and overall
winners of the Questa+Veloce+Calibre competitions will each be
invited to a celebratory dinner hosted by Mentor Graphics staff
and no expense will be spared on pizza and beer.
The tournament is free to enter and open to
design engineers from electronic design companies based in the
Silicon Gorge area. Due to popular demand we are relaxing this
criteria and inviting registrations from Mentor Graphics
customers around the UK. Team places are limited and
preference will be given to companies based in the Silicon Gorge
area.

to beat last year’s champions, Xmos.
And of course, we will round off the day by
hosting our traditional barbecue for all the teams and their
supporters.
